Design Technology

At Church Crookham Junior School, Design and Technology inspires children to become creative, resourceful and innovative problem-solvers. Through a range of practical and purposeful projects, pupils identify, investigate and respond to real-life problems, designing and making products that meet the needs of themselves and others.

Design Technology Project DT Project 2

Children develop the creative, technical and practical expertise needed to design, make and evaluate high-quality products, drawing upon knowledge from a range of disciplines including science, computing, engineering, mathematics and art. They gain a better understanding of seasonality though the cooking experiences.   We encourage pupils to take risks, think critically and refine their ideas through an iterative process of designing, making, testing and evaluating.   By exploring the impact of design and technology on everyday life and the wider world, children develop the confidence, knowledge and skills throughout their time at our school.
