PE

Child doing P.E.At CCJS we try to ensure children have two hours of high quality timetabled PE per week, delivered by both class teachers and specialist coaching staff.  Children are taught dance, gymnastics, athletics, outdoor and adventurous activities and swimming with a strong focus on improvement and achieving their own personal best.

Our school’s vision of ‘Achievement by All’ is evident in our approach to school sport. All children have the ability to take part in competition whether it's competing within the class or against others using the school house system. Competing against other schools, both in leagues and in sporting festivals, is an important extension of what we strive for in school. We believe that if a child shows the dedication and willingness to be part of a team in school, they should have the opportunity to represent their team in a competition.

At CCJS we provide a wide range of opportunities to take part in sports and physical activities both during timetabled lessons and as extracurricular clubs.  Click on the link below to download the curriuclum map for PE.
